This is the ECO Cell li-ion battery built exclusively for our line of ECO Cell Certified flashlights. Events during the pandemic that affected the global supply chain caused the 
cost of integrated circuits to skyrocket. As a result it became more costly to produce batteries with expensive protection circuit boards. MF Tactical‘s solution was to build the protection board functions into the flashlight so that each battery no longer needs its own built-in protection circuit board. This way your flashlight has built-in over-charge and over-discharge protection, and you do not have to also add the cost and complexity to every battery you purchase. This is the origin of the idea behind MF Tactical‘s line of ECO Cell batteries.
This is a Grade A 3.7v, 10A, 2600mAh MF Tactical brand 18650 sized Extended Capacity rechargeable lithium ion battery that permits current draw up to 10A. When used in an ECO Cell Certified flashlight, ECO Cells are an economical alternative to protected batteries that allow you to save money while not sacrificing any of the protection functions you get with a protected battery.

ECO Cell batteries are NOT for use in any flashlight that is not ECO Cell Certified, and be sure not to use them in any multi-battery flashlight, all of which require protected batteries. Please be very wary of low cost 18650 batteries being sold online and at some battery specialty stores, as most are selling Grade B cells (cells that under-perform manufacturer specs or have defects) or, even worse, Grade C cells (used, repackaged, salvaged and/or damaged cells). The majority of all lithium ion batteries for sale are counterfeit, fake and potentially dangerous. To be safe, only purchase Grade A batteries from reputable manufacturers. MF Tactical sells only Grade A cells.
All MF Tactical 18650 batteries now permit a current draw of at least 10A. As all quality high end flashlights need higher current to operate reliably at the high end of their performance window, you can be assured that MF Tactical batteries will always meet the needs of our high performance tactical LED flashlights that require the higher current that can only be provided by the best batteries on the market.

The MF Tactical 10A Extended Capacity ECO Cell battery is a TRUE 2600 mAh battery that will outperform and outlast batteries claiming to be 4000 mAh or higher. Hyped up capacity claims on labels is the game that many manufacturers are playing with the public, and we simply will not play that game. Off market brand 18650 batteries claiming to be “4000mAh,” “5000mAh” or even higher are not and quite simply cannot technically be what they are claimed to be. We have done our own testing, and we learned that nearly all of the 18650 batteries on the market are in fact falsely labeled, and most are in fact storing less than 2000mAh, regardless of the pretty labels! We hope you will know that the five dollar “5000mAh” batteries on eBay and Amazon are in fact “too good to be true.”
