Like all of Monster Flashlight's new line, you get our advanced engineering, which uses copper and lightweight aluminum heat-sinks and other components to help naturally disburse the sworn enemy of electronics - HEAT!  As a result, this amazing flashlight achieves its goal of maintaining an extraordinary level of efficiency that gets the maximum light output to meet or exceed its 350 lumens predicted as the max for the R5 emitter.  We made this a multi-mode flashlight, not because strobe is cool or because you may need SOS to save your life, but because with a light this bright the biggest problem. believe it or not, is having too much light!  For close in work where the bright R5 can cause whiteout conditions on high, this light allows you to step down to medium or low brightness.  The medium and low modes also have the benefit of significantly extending the run time of a battery charge.  To cycle through the modes, simply give the tail clicky button a soft press or a quick "double-click."  When you turn it back on it automatically returns to your last used mode because this light has advanced memory circuitry which allows it to remember your last used mode and return directly to that mode without forcing you to cycle through all 5 modes like so many of our competitor's products.  As a result of its use of a tight, focused beam, the R5-350-5C puts virtually the same amount of light on target as our lights with the more expensive P7 emitters. 

This incredible Monster Flashlight comes with both an all metal pocket clip and a removable wrist strap.  And just in case the wicked attack crown on this light is a bit too aggressive for some situations, also included with this light at no additional charge is a second, smooth replacement bezel that can be swapped in and threaded into the head of the flashlight, giving the light a slightly tamer appearance.  The smooth bezel also provides a slightly wider beam pattern and, with the different appearance, basically gives you the look of two lights for the price of one.

A LESSON ON LUMENS:  DON'T FALL FOR THE OLD TRICK OF COMPARING ONLY THE THEORETICAL MANUF. MAXIMUM LUMENS RATINGS:  Not all performance levels will be the same for any LED flashlight emitter.  The number advertised as the "Manufacturer Maximum Rated Lumens" is not necessarily going to tell you how bright your light will be.  Many factors, including reflector size, shape, reflectivity properties and materials, the efficiency of the power board's components and, most importantly, how efficient your light is at HEAT MANAGEMENT will determine how close (if close at all) your light will get to its theoretical maximum lumens capability.  After doing thorough research and comparison and consulting with the engineers who actually designed these lights, I have been able to cut through it all and as a result, MONSTER FLASHLIGHT's line of flashlights are all HIGH EFFICIENCY LED FLASHLIGHTS that give you maximum performance and the highest possible utilization of the Manufacturer Maximum Rated Lumens for each model we sell.  In other words, a highly efficient 350 max lumen light with a high end reflector can put out as much light as an inexpensive and low efficiency 900 lumen max light.

The standard "OP" or Orange Peal Reflector creates an even and blended, wide beam of light that tends more towards spill than throw.  As a result, an OP light provides output with even and floody coverage.

NEW - SMO Reflector Option:

In keeping with our continuing effort to provide our customers with the ability to customize their lights to better meet their needs, we are now offering the option to upgrade your R5-350-5C's reflector to an SMO or "smooth" reflector which is a highly polished aluminum reflector with a jewel like mirror finish.  The standard OP or "orange peel" reflector has a textured surface that acts to evenly disburse the light over a wider field, which makes the light have a bias towards flood or spill.  As some users prefer to their light to have a bias towards throw, which puts a narrower beam farther down field, we now offer the option of upgrading your light's reflector to an SMO reflector. Think of the difference as the difference between loading your home's light fixture with a spot light bulb vs. a flood light bulb.  If you would prefer to maximize your light's throw potential through the use of an SMO reflector, you may now choose that option when ordering.
